Atlantic Aviation has renewed its contract to manage the East 34th Street Heliport in Manhattan, in partnership with the NYC Economic Development Corporation. Over the next five years, Atlantic will upgrade the heliport to support electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft by installing advanced charging systems.
The upgrades align with New York City's push for sustainable urban air mobility, with partners like Beta Technologies, Joby Aviation, and Archer Aviation helping to shape the infrastructure. The heliport’s development marks a step forward in preparing for eVTOL entries into service, offering faster and quieter travel options for New Yorkers.
